does anyone know why the crystal maze game center thing in blackpool and the ones all over the UK shut down all of a sudden and changed into something else? it was weird because i nly got to go in it once when i was a kid back in i think it was 93 or 94 and the memories of it are still vibrant but thats something iv always wondered is it because the show closed around that time too? also is it true that rich o’brien thought that show up? all by himself? the games and all?

Well in 1993 94 i was only 5 or 6 so i never knew of the game centre’s. I wish i did. I used to love Crystal Maze, i still watch the repeats on challenge sometimes…sad i know! Lol.
Yeah Richard O’Brien invented the games and produced and presented te programme. That guy was a genius!
The only one I know of is the Crystal Maze (CC2000) complex in Pembrokeshire W.Wales. It is still running & open
