Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is without a doubt one of the diamond tourist attractions in Blackpool’s crown. The park is spread over 42 acres and only a few minutes walk from Moorbank House and guaranteed to provide hours of family fun and memories.

If rolling, riding and rocking is your thing and you and you children crave the hold on tight and white knuckle experience then a visit to BPB must be part of your holiday agenda.

The park has almost 40 rides and attractions of which 12 are roller coasters including the iconic Pepsi Max Big One and Infusion one of the few inverted roller coasters in the UK and the only one constructed entirely over water.

Nickelodeon land is a park within the park aimed at children, it opened in 2011 and consists of 12 separate rides and attractions all based around the Nickelodeon TV Channel where the kids will enjoy seeing and having their pictures taken with their favourite characters like Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer.

Moorbank House is ideally situated for the Pleasure Beach with it being literally a few minutes walk to the main entrance and the ticket collection offices.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ticket Options

Pleasure Beach offers a few ticket options and it is always worth checking these out before you commit to purchase.

First and Foremost there is the Unlimited Ride Wristband this give the wearer the option of riding everything in the park as often as they want to on the day of purchase. Prices can and will vary for wristbands but the best offers will always be to book on-line and choosing your day of visit. Prices vary by day and time of the season for ride wristbands so you should always check out the Pleasure Beach website or our facebook or twitter feed for the latest deals. A general rule of thumb is the quieter the time of the season the cheaper the Wristbands (they can be sold as low as £16.00 adult) but at busy times such as a weekend in August expect to pay full rate. That said significant savings can always be made by booking online with minimum 12 hours notice before arrival, rather than paying on the gate on the day.

In addition there is the Pleasure Beach Pass. This is aimed at those who do not want to ride but wish to accompany family members of those who do. It allows you to enjoy the ambiance of the park, ride on the Pleasure Beach Express, explore the Chinese Puzzle Maze, and enjoy the Spectacular Dancing Water Show.If you change your mind after entry to the park and decide there are rides you wish to go on it is possible to purchase individual ride tickets in the park. This is an ideal ticket for older members of the family who do not want to ride the fast roller coasters but do wish to accompany grand children around the park on the day.

  •  £6.00 Book On-line at the same time as Wristbands or pay the same on the gate.

From time to time Pleasure Beach will advertise wristband offers which in the past have been buy one get one free (at the full gate price) or buy two get one free (again at the full gate price) although the frequency of these offers has been decreasing in recent years. Nevertheless it is worth keeping an eye open for these offers and to see if they coincide with a planned trip to Blackpool.

Pleasure Beach also offers wristbands in conjunction with Tesco club card and these  are always worth checking out via theTesco Club-card website.

The Pleasure Beach also hosts a number of show’s during High Season and has an ice skating rink onsite which is open to members of the public and park visitors.

Moorbank House is an ideally situated family friendly B&B for your visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. With the park only 5 minutes walk away it you won’t need your car and can leave it on our car park for the duration of your stay.
