Blackpool Pleasure Beach sees it’s 120th anniversary in 2016 and has lined up an incredible list of events and shows throughout the year including discounting unlimited ride wristbands during a half price adrenaline week.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach first opened in Blackpool in 1896 when Alderman William George Bean first registered the name and purchased the 42 acre site on which the park now stands.
The land was mainly sand dunes undisturbed since time immemorial except as a rubbish dump for residents of what was to become South Shore Blackpool. Dwelling Houses had only just began to be built in Osborne and Withnell road directly to the South of where construction would start. The investment and vision of Alderman Bean truly was magnificent for the era and who could have predicted that his dream of a theme park would become of the UK favorite tourist attractions.
As part of the 120th anniversary celebrations the Pleasure Beach are doing a half price Unlimited Ride Wristbands offer between Monday 31st October and Sunday 6th November 2016 which incidentally is the same evening that the iconic Blackpool Illuminations are switched off for 2016.
As is common in all previous offers Unlimited Ride Wristbands have to be booked in advance by purchasing online.
Enjoy a day at the park and ride the Red Arrows or the Big One, Meet Wallace and Grommit on their special ride or get wet on Valhalla. Plenty to do, much to see it really is a great family day out.
